The Experience

Having your portrait produced by Cache is more than just simply coming in, having photographer go "click" and then choosing your favourite images. At Cache, we take the time to plan the shoot, execute it according to the needs of each client and then carefully produce a result that is amazing. The journey for each Cache Portrait is as follows:

The Pre-shoot Consultation

Before we undertake each shoot, we discuss the wants and needs of each client in detail. We discuss attire, style of the images that each client would like, the colour of the background, style of lighting, special toys for children to make the shoot personal and especially what each client is trying to achieve in terms of the end result (ie. are we trying to get a desk portrait for the grandparents, Christmas gifts, a pregnancy / newborn combination or even Wall Art to go on a Feature Wall in a new room. Either way, the end result is planned for. This is usually done over the phone several days / week prior to the shoot.

The Shoot

This is where the fun begins. You will be greeted by one of our talented photographers and taken into our studio. We will work through the shoot slowly to ensure everyone is comfortable in front of the cameras (not everyone is a born model) and the time to have multiple outfit changes and looks to give you variety in images.

At the completion of the shoot, your photographer will book a time with you for the Cinematic Viewing and Order Session. This is typically of an evening during the week.

Processing of all images and preparation for the Viewing and Order Session

We will take all the images taken and carefully process them to our exacting standards. Each image will be reviewed and enhanced as necessary in preparation for the Viewing and Order Session.

The Cinematic Viewing and Order Session

This is where you get to see the magic in our Cinematic Theatre Viewing Room. Your design consultant / photographer will show you every single image on the big screen, help you create a short list of your favourite images and take you through all presentation options available. It is important to ensure that all decision makers are present at this session as this is where all order for portraiture are made.

It is important to note here that we are not interested in doing any hard sell or pressure sell. On the contrary, your design consultant will give you advice and make suggestions. Any decision to purchase is up to each client.

Order Preparation

We will further review all images chosen to be ordered and retouch them in more detail. We will then order photographic prints, canvas prints, folios /albums and frames  required for each client order. All items will then be finalised for each order in preparation for pickup. All items purchased from Cache come with a "Genuine Cache Original" seal. This is your guarantee of quality.

Order Pickup

The journey is almost over. You will get to see all the items ordered in our studio. All Wall Art will be wrapped for transit to your home. You now get to take your order home and enjoy it in your living room, Dining Room, Family Room or wherever you have chosen to display your family heirloom. Congratulations - you are now the proud owner of a Genuine Cache Original that you will be able to pass down to the next generation.
