Q. How much do Caché products cost?
Everything produced at Caché Portraits is fully finished, framed or mounted in a unique variety of products. Prices start at $245 for a Gift Frame to over $3,000 for our largest single pieces of art. There is really something to suit everyone’s budget. Collections of Caché art, ready to hang on your wall range from approx $1,500 - $7,000. Some people utilise our “spread the cost” payment plan, which allows you to pay the investment off over a 6 or 12 month period.
Q. Do you provide a service for our hair & make up?
Caché is very much about and revealing the real you and celebrating it! As a result of this, we advise you to come looking like yourself. Feel free to have your hair done a few days prior to your shoot & make yourself up on the day in order to look your best, but we do not encourage anything that doesn’t look like you. Our skilled Photographers, Graphic Retouchers and state-of-the-art studio lighting will ensure that you have never looked so good!
Q. Can I bring my pet to my studio session?
Of course! We love to photograph animals and to date we have photographed cats, dogs, goldfish, rabbits and birds. Simply check to ensure the studio can accommodate your pet when booking your session.
Q. Can you take portraits in my home?
All Caché Portraits photo sessions are normally conducted in our state-of-the-art studio. We can come to your home but there is an additional charge.
Q. How long will I wait to receive my Caché products?
You will view your images a few days after your photo session with us. This is where you will decide upon your favourites and order your Caché products. It can take around 2-3 weeks after your viewing for your products to be ready for collection.
Q: Will you come to my home or do we need to come to your studio?
We can do either. You tell us what works best for your family and your budget, and we proceed from there. If you are not sure we can give suggestions based on your needs.
Q: What makes a Caché Portrait so unique?
Our photography has the look and feel of personal works of art. The essential element unique to all our photography is the energy and feeling conveyed from our sensitive, skilled and experienced photographers to you - a feeling that resonates and strikes a chord with each client. Our photographers also personally supervise each process from inception through to printing and their signature on your images means you are receiving the seal of approval that is the benchmark of a Caché photographic artwork.
Q: Do you create colour photographic portraits?
Yes, we offer a variety of styles of colour finishes. Many have a painterly quality and sometimes an image lends itself more favourably to be presented in one of our specialist colour techniques. Your photographer will consult with you and advise you on the selection of each image, its individual treatment and the best way to exhibit it in your home, office, beach or country home.
Q: What are my options for payment besides cheque or credit card?
One option available that can be accommodated to suit your budget is a no finance monthly plan. It’s very flexible - you select the amount that will work for you on a monthly basis - many clients love this option. If you waited to have children before you had all the money saved up, you might still be waiting. The same is true with the artwork at Caché. You are able to have us create artwork of your loved ones before they get any older and use our payment plan option to your advantage.
Q: It’s easy to see Caché Photography isn’t the typical studio you might find in a shopping mall, so what can I expect?
We understand that the artwork we create for you is what you are going to take home, place on your wall, and one day hand down to the next generation. It’s your legacy. We take that very seriously and we extensively collaborate with our clients to produce the best possible results. The saying “You get what you pay for” holds true in many respects when it comes to investing in your precious Caché photographic artwork.
Q: How do we select our favourite images?
Ordering sessions of 1 hour are personally allocated for you 3-4 days after your photography session. Your design consultant / photographer will guide you through all the images and make suggestions on which ones may be best for you. Most of our clients will already have given some thought to where and how they will display their photographic artwork and your photographer can also recommend some exciting display options.
Q: Should the whole family come in to select their images?
It’s important that only all decision makers are present at the ordering session as this is an essential investment in your life and your memories. Based on our experience, it is important to organise a baby sitter for the ordering session. As you can imagine, children may tire quickly and make it more difficult for parents to concentrate on the process of selecting their life’s images.
Q: Are the portraits framed?
Yes. All our works are finished and ready to hang when they leave the studio. We have a variety of finishes available including traditional framing, canvas mounting and acrylic "glass" looking finish.
Q: Do we get the digital files?
Caché Photography specialises in producing fine art portrait prints as opposed to digital files. The images are captured digitally and then our unique artworks are produced by specialists in collaboration with our photographers on archival photographic paper or canvas using the traditional archival process. The results are brilliant original images of the highest standard, images that are recognisable for their individual “Caché” quality. It is for this reason that we provide only the printed image. Our meticulous attention to detail and quality finish is very much part of the final product that is the renowned “Caché” fine art portrait.
